Each room features a different art style and in-context math challenges involving converting fractions to decimals. As students move through the rooms, they narrow down the suspect list until they find the culprit!

This activity is designed for 4th through 6th grades. This resource includes is an educational mini-poster and a short video that remind students how to convert fractions to decimals by dividing the top by the bottom.

Teacher prep is easy! Just print out the pages and assemble the cheese decoder wheel. No color printer? No problem. You can use the black and white versions or view the color pages online.

There are 18 math practice problems embedded in the puzzles.

Kids can work in small group, pairs, or individually to solve the escape room. When they find the art thief, they can receive or view a certificate from Inspector Swiss thanking them for their help!
