Engineering is sweet - sometimes literally!

Child's hand holding a handmade snack grabber made from a wrapping paper roll

Want to make your students’ engineering challenges a little sweeter (literally!)? Try this one!

  • Tape a treat high up on the wall with painter’s tape

  • Challenge your students to create a snack grabber to get the treat without allowing it to fall.

  • Supply them with various items such as wrapping paper tubes, cups, tape, string, pencils, rubber bands, and more!

  • Watch them create, fail, change their designs, and try again!

Want to see this particular snack grabber in action? Check out our YouTube short.
